Post Production: Editing
We began organising and reviewing footage on the 22/11/16 then began putting a sequence together on the 25/11/16.
By layering the song and adding in the master shots into layers then to cut between them and add transitions and other visuals that suit was the way most efficient for me. I could build the video over the music by getting the main shots and somewhat narrative in.
Rough Cut Deadline: 5/12/16 We presented the Rough Cut to the rest of the class to receive feedback, as a whole they thought it worked visually and that we captured the vie of the music perfectly. The constructive feedback was to add some Effects in eg. on the beat. flashes and so forth.
I took this on board and began colour grading to match and clean up the shots, the main shots were those filmed in the Shisha Bar as this was the look we were going for (Pink/Blue tones) I then created a preset on the shots outside to keep the tone and paste onto the other clips. I altered according to each shot in fine detail.

Production: Progress
We shot 2 locations on the first day, the Park and Tate Britain then scheduled in to shoot the Shisha Bar for the friday that week.
The following week we managed to film some shots up on the rooftop, there was a few changes to schedule and call sheet but was amended and planned when we all met so we were all on the same page.
We managed to film enough footage over 3 days. Then processed into the Edit reviewing footage and organising it.
Berfin, Dimi and I took the role of editor at the beginning then I continued with their input and opinions as editing is my strength.

Production Meeting Week 4
Week 4 - 07/11/16 - 15:20 pm
|
Overall, we discussed our individual roles and what needs to be complete we can start filming our music video. This allowed us to see where we are as a group and what is our priority for this week.
We finish off our shot list and decided we didn't need a storyboard. We must finish the call sheet and the production schedules. After this is all done we can start filming as we don't need to book any equipment as we are using our own camera equipments.

Originating Ideas: Independent
Original Idea: The idea for the music video production project I have is to work alongside my friend ‘King Reginald’ who is an upcoming rap artist from West London. I have done photography and filming prior and therefore I have built that rapport with him. He suggested 2 songs that he
He would be interested in following up to a music video. Called ‘That aint me’ and ‘Insomniac’ they are just over 3 minutes long and both of his recent EP 'The Suicide Story' that came out during summer. This is a good length of time for visuals and a performance/lip sync based video with a conceptual emphasis. The song ‘That Ain't Me' is a better opportunity for a music video, the song begins with a sample from an old hip hop track then slow chord progression and he begins rapping at a slow tempo.
My idea is to begin with a shot of him in the car with his phone as he says 'Man its 4am i don't feel like going home ..wait let me check my phone' and use a close up shot of his IPhone getting a message, utilising the space and lighting to create a dark lit iphone shot. There would be a use of lyric interpretation of him saying 'Puff puff past it, that aint me' there would be a centralised shot of him with vape smoke coming out of his mouth, this would reflect the lyrics and chilled vibe of the track. There will be more shots him walking switching from his feet to mid body to head in an outside nighttime lit location. When the beat drops it will switch to him as he is performing this will comprise of several locations and shots. The way of planning is to film the song in each 3 locations and in the edit to cut, and add the track over to match. He will also have an outfit for the car locations which will be shot at once then various for other location eg. outside/ streets and bridge. 5/10/16
